Thursday Night Study Session

Hey guys.  @mb_willougby  one of our great traders has volunteered to run a weekly study/help session.  Its open forum in our chatroom so you can bring your questions, charts, anything that you want to talk about.  Im seeing a lot of progress in the chatroom from many of you guys.  Your starting to pick up the system and the method and really locking down your trade plan.  But we still have much work to do and between this weekly study session and more webinars/videos hopefully we will all be able to accomplish our trading goals.  Its very important if you are learning or having trouble or even doing great that you take advantage of these times.

  1. Here’s a couple topics to cover:
    1) how to determine the proper profit target. For example, STP today ran over 10%. I caught a piece of that from 1.10 to 1.14, but what should i look for to remain in the position?
    2) I’d like some advice for trading part-time. Since i have a full-time job and limited time (market open and close), are there certain trades I shouldn’t be taking (swings, shorts, etc) or others that may better work in my favor?
    3) got any tips to avoid overtrading? Some days i’ll be up in the morning and throw away most of the profits by day’s end.

  2. MB, thanks for doing this I think it will be helpful to us newbi’s

Today, on ZIP, I saw your resistance line and the 6 points hitting it but how do you know when to purchase?

At 11:13 Kunal said MCP was starting to come out of range. I looked at his chart. I thought I knew what coming out of range looked like. Would you explain his chart.

At 11:20 I believe Alan said JCP was “looking to squeeze” would you explain what that means.
