Quick Summary:
Enter the week watching SPY short and long levels, IWM short level. Video setups up the week’s game plan. Focus list stocks Z, AAPL, BIDU, HLF, WUBA, YINN, FB, PCLN, NFLX. New breakouts AIRM, SHOR, MDVN, ESNT.
Video Analysis (8 minutes):
Today’s video goes over the plan for the coming week, quickly hitting SPY, IWM, the focus list to start the week and some breakout setups.
Key SPY Pivot Levels: 199 : recent old high, 195.30: 50 dma, 190 gap fill and support level
Under the Hood and Trading Game Plan:
The move on Friday leads me to believe we might start to float up to the $195 range. Our analysis has not changed. Short at $195, long $189-190, while monitoring price and volume action. A change in character could negate both setups.
I will use UPRO to go long SPY. It is a 3x leveraged ETF that tracks SPY. While SPY was down .54% today, UPRO was down 1.64%.
IWM is pulling back up to short entry. Entry around $114 with a target near the lows at $107.
Current Trades
I am still holding TWTR and Z. I entered AAPL on Frida at the close based on the hammer candle that printed near support.
The Trade Journal results
The Focus List
AAPL printed a hammer candle at support after pulling back from round number 100 resistance. Target is $99, stop at $93. Entry in the $94-95 range. (I am already in this trade)
BIDU has pulled back after a strong breakout. Entry in the $210-212 range, stop $206 and target $225-230.
HLF is a volatile stock and should only be traded with those who have the stomach for this type of volatility. A hammer candle has printed at the old low. Entry on slight pullback $50-51. Stop under candle at $48. Target $60.
WUBA broke out and now has formed a strong trading range. Entry here on pullback to 50 dma. Stop at $47. Target 56.
YINN is a leveraged China ETF. It pulled back and bounced from the 20 dma. Entry on slight pullback, $32.50-33.50. Stop at $31.50-32 and target near $36.
Z broke out strong and has pulled back to the 20 sma. Entry here $139-140. Stop $136 and target at $150.
Breakouts:
Some new breakouts on Friday. all require pullbacks to the bottom of the breakout bars or gap fills.
Market Leaders
These are stocks that I always watch, though they might not be in my tradeable watchlist, nor are they actually always leading the market.
The following are considered focus list stocks: FB (72), PCLN (undecided), NFLX (437-440), TSLA (140). GMCR has been removed from the market leaders list.
