How to Trade Through a Stock Market Crash: Surviving the 2025 Meltdown
What’s up, traders—Kunal here from Bulls on Wall Street. The markets are in freefall. We dropped 6% on Friday and we’re gapping down another 5% today. It’s one of the ugliest 3-day stretches I’ve seen in a long time—maybe ever.
If you’re panicking right now, don’t. This is where the pros make their living.
Welcome to the Danger Zone
This is the hardest type of trading there is: bounce trading during a crash. The market is gapping down hard, the VIX is likely ripping, and everyone wants to buy the dip—but getting in early means getting your face ripped off.
That’s why I’m not trading blind. I’ve got a game plan.
My Game Plan for the Crash
- Let the opening range set: I’m watching closely around 10 a.m. to see if we hold that low and break out. That’s my cue to get long—but only if the price confirms.
- Risk defined: I’m risking a max of 5–10% of my day trading account to try catching the bounce. That’s it. If I’m wrong, I stop out and live to fight another day.
- Stick with the big boys: I’ll be watching Tesla around 200, Palantir at the 200-day, and NVIDIA possibly opening in the $80s.
This isn’t about calling a bottom. It’s about knowing your levels and keeping your risk tight.

Not for the Faint of Heart
Let’s be real. This isn’t a market for amateurs. I’m scalping using 1- to 5-minute charts. If you’re a swing trader, sit it out. If you’re a long-term investor, this might be the time to nibble—but only if you’ve got a plan.
Remember: this is not where you make your money. This is where you survive and protect capital. The time to load the boat will come. But you don’t have to be a hero today.
