Before I tell you about my course, let me tell why I’m so committed to Options and Tape Reading:
In the Fall of 2009 the US economy was beginning its recovery from the Great Recession. Buyers were bouncing the banking sector—stocks like JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup— off the bottom and into upward rallies. Every stock in the sector was moving.

Then, Citigroup made its move. The Options that I bought at $.03-.04 started selling for $.08-.10. I sold as the Options got more and more expensive, all the way up to as high as $.40! That means on some of my contracts I made a 10X return on investment. The people buying Citigroup’s normal stock didn’t make anything near that kind of return.
All in all, I made about $1,500,000 on the trade. It not only put me on the map as a bigtime trader, it also deepened my conviction in the power of these amazing instruments and in the value of reading the Tape.”

Having traded the space for years, I predicted that sooner or later Citigroup would catch up to the rest of the pack. It was just a question of WHEN. So I did what I always do when I seek to get better information for my trades: I went to the Tape.
The Tape is a combination of a “Time and Sales” and a “Level II” shown on a trading platform. Basically, it shows what buyers and sellers in a stock are doing. If you learn how to read it, you can literally watch what the marketplace is doing and time your entries and exits very well. The fundamental laws of supply and demand dictate that if buyers are more plentiful than sellers (and supply remains constant), the stock is going up!
What I saw in Citigroup’s Tape made me feel confident that Citigroup’s stock was going up. So I started buying options contracts that were priced at about $.03-.04. I bought a LOT of these contracts. In all, about $250,000 worth. At this point I had grown my account to be large enough that I was comfortable with an allocation this large.
