Cutting out the noise!

Email Delicious Digg Facebook Reddit Stumbleupon Twitter

Hi everyone, we're making some changes to the site.  For the past few months we have been aggregating all the trading data on Twitter, disseminating the information, rating the people, and disseminating further.  The four of us then combine our thoughts, and make picks collaboratively or individually.

We're going to limit what's displayed on the stream live now.  We'll show only those who follow @bullsonwallst.  If they don't and you would like to see them on the stream please tell us by emailing info@bullsonwallstreet.com who you think should be on the stream.

This is the best thing we can do for our users.. We simply don't want our users buying junk picks, and this will help us eliminate a ton of noise.

Thanks!

sg

I think this is a great idea. I have all ready had to block some people to try and keep the twitter stream clear for the important information and not the junk selling. Each week you all improve BOWS!

Hmm. Sometimes I have interest in seeing what my followers are posting, but I don't want to follow them (keep that list small). In addition, replys to my tweets don't seem to automatically go into my "Your Friends" list on the right, so it seems like we'll miss those if the peeps are following @bulls. I don't know, seems like there could be a little more logic programmed in such that relevant tweets/reply-tweets aren't missed.

Thank You SG,I wish users would limit thier posts to stocks and trading, way to much chit chat, less is more. I am not interested in reading useless posts. I look for what you and the other pros post and read answers to good questions. I do not care what anyone spouse thinks. I just moved up to Gold, love the trading room, lets keep it on the subject at hand, making money. PS- already paid my sub. in two days-THANKS GUYS AMD GIRLS!

I am black member and try to follow both rooms as I can. I also work 3-4 days a week. It would be helpful to have a room where the only posts are from Stockgod, Kunal, Leigh and Ryan filtered from both rooms. When I am working, I am most interested in their posts so that I can buy or sell on the run. On the days I am not working, I love to be part of the crowd and read all the posts and enjoy what my peers contribute. Just a suggestion to cut out some of the noise in the boom rooms for part timers.

Does this mean that TweetDeck will no longer pick up comments by The BOWS4, or any BOWS posted tweets? or that you will only be tweeting them in the BoomFactory? We already have the toggle for "Show tweets of BOWS" and "Show tweets of all friends" Is this kinda what StockTwits did when the went off twitter?
